BIND TRIP TO VIETNAM PART 5

Heyy readers, so this is the last part of my trip in Vietnam, which was also the LAST day I had spent my time in Vietnam! To be honest, I feel so.. despair while blogging this last part of the trip. I mean, memories just flashback.. Then I'll keep on whining that  I wanna go back to Vietnam and keep complaining hoe fun BIND is. HAHAHA, yeah this is me.. ._.

Here's the link to the 4 other parts of my trip in Vietnam!!

Last day in hotel, taking pictures of the hotel room. (similar to the home-stay). This is what I always do on the last day staying at a hotel room, or basically somewhere we stayed for the night. XD

Our messy beds... HAHAHA I tried to make the bed neater but, well, FAILED. Ooopsiee...

We had to wear this shirt for half of the day.. It's blueeeeee

My ootd, featuring my jacket XD

The study desk where I did my reflection for the past 2 mornings..

*The chair very comfortable ehh.. HAHAHA

Well, fun fact: I think it was just 7am in the morning, but the sky is already up
(and the sky is so bright omg..)

The view outside of the room..

*The ordinary clear blue sky ^^

Yeah.. Even the cabinet also must take picture. ._.

You know, every single part of the room..? Mmmhmm

Tessa used the robe the minute she stepped into the hotel room. HAHAHA

Finish packing up our stuff, managed to stuff all my souvenirs/food into my fat luggage XD

The telephone reminded me the time when my classmate prank-called my hotel room and others lah. I wonder what their reaction was when they "accidentally" called the teacher's room. XD

Well, the wake-call for the first morning in the hotel was weird.. Because I had no idea what the person on the phone was talking about. (And that person just hung up after she said her piece, hmph)

The wall lamp is pretty useful too. You know you can read anything on the bed because there's a lamp underneath you. Pretty good right..?

Heading to have our breakfast, our LAST breakfast. Omg, I keep emphasizing on the word "last" ;-;

It's really damn sad lah, because we're really leaving Vietnam in less than what.. 1 day..?

Our hotel room number - 309

Before going into the restaurant, took a picture of the view outside. Well, even though it looks quite cloudy, but we can still can see the outlines of buildings right? (:

The view outside of the restaurant <3

*It is the exact same view taken for part 4. HAHAHAHA

Time to take pictures around the restaurant, but in actual fact I didn't take a lot at all. HAHAHAHA

(Didn't take the pictures of the dishes.. sigh)

The drinks...

Glass cups for...? Hmmm

Our table we sat for our FINAL breakfast.

Sigh.. Final..

The wall textures omg.. Window texture(?) / Brick texture / Stone texture

Cheeseee~~

*Eh the shape/pattern very cute and nice sia.

Cucumbers and tomatos~~

Why their presentation so organised one.. So appetizing.. Aahhh

My Watermelon!!

*They cut until so cutee :3

As usual, my coffee. I think I've been drinking coffee for the past 5 days!! Omg.. Okay ,you may leave out the first day because I remembered that I only started to drink coffee on the second day! XD

My fried rice, plus scrambled egg.

*I just regretted not ordering the.. What.. Sun Egg(?)

Tissue in a box~~

Finished our last and final breakfast in the hotel/ in VIETNAM  ):

I'm definitely missing the food there now.. ;-;

Heading back to my hotel room to grab some stuff before assembling at the lift lobby.

Pictures of the lift lobby. You know, since this is like the last day staying in the hotel.. XD

Look how high-class the hotel is (!!)

Off to visit the orphanage! ^^

Pictures while heading there. The buildings/sky-scrappers around Ho Chin Minh City sooo beautiful/breath-taking ><

Reached the orphanage! (:

I didn't want to take so many pictures there because I want to respect their privacy! ^^ Also, it's the experience that counts. Yeah?

Even though pictures can allow us to reminisce the moments we had, if the experience is remembered deeply in our minds as well as our hearts, I guess pictures are not necessary for us to recount on the experience we had, right? (:

After visiting the orphanage..

Well, the visit to the orphanage is definitely very meaningful and impactful! It was an extremely great experience there and spending our time with the children! Visiting the orphanage made me realise there are people in the world who are not as privileged as us. I believe that we can do something to make the lives of the children in the orphanage better! The visit has definitely made me appreciate the things that I have in my life and not take the things that I have for granted. ^^

If I'm given the chance to visit the orphanage, I'll volunteer myself to help out! I mean, it feels great to help the less fortunate who needed people like us to lend a helping hand to help them! To  be honest, after visiting the orphanage, I was quite emotional and sad deep down in my heart.. ): It's heart-breaking that the children have disabilities at such a young age. When we are at that age, I believe we were playing fun and engaging games? The children at the orphanage did not even have the opportunity to play games due to their disabilities. Therefore, I believe we can do our part to make the lives of the less fortunate better! ^^

--------

Heading back to the hotel to change our clothes as well as washing ourselves up, before checking out of the hotel! ):

*I don't want to leave this hotel.. ;-; WHYYY do we have to leave the hotel and leave Vietnam.. ):

I'm definitely miss Vietnam now.. Sighh.. Look through those photos makes me wanna fly to Vietnam again ><

Reached back the hotel.

There was some time to take a rest, so I decided to watch the KBS Channel on the television~~

I took a few more photos of the hotel room because.. I REALLY CAN'T BEAR TO LEAVE THIS COMFY HOTEL ROOM ;-;

Or is it because I'm not done taking pictures around the hotel room? I can't remember lah.. ><

THE BEAUTIFUL SKY, PUFFY CLOUDS <3

I guess that's a restaurant...?

Final picture of the hotel room.. ):

I'm missing the soft bed there.. It's damn warm and comfy when you sleep on it ;-;

*It's different from my own bed okay...

Say "Byebye" to my hotel card.. ><

Leaving the hotel room and assembling at the lift lobby..

After that, we checked out the hotel and headed to the restaurant for our lunch

Well, the hotel room is one of the most comfiest room I've ever stayed in.. >< I mean, there's television for us to watch different shows, a study table for me to you know... (do reflections *cough* *cough). Not only that, the bathroom is extremely clean too (Yeah, all the toilets in hotels are clean..) But the bathroom in the hotel is different from what I expected (!!)

At the restaurant to have our final lunch, I'm emphasising the word "LAST". Oh, it is the LAST meal we're having in Vietnam too, I just realised.. ):

No more dinner for the day. Sighh ;-;

------

It was a buffet lunch! ^^ So we can eat whatever we want to~~

The design of the restaurant is so captivating and interesting *.*

The second level was reserved for us students to have our meals.

And that's the staircase that will lead us to the second level! ^^

*It was pretty hard to hold the plates while climbing up the stairs.. HAHAHA

I'm sorry that this photo is inverted ><

Even the wall textures so niceee <3

Went to grab all the food that I wanted to eat first.

Left: Deserts
Right: Just.. Food.. (With watermelon)

And Teaa~~

Went to the rest room with Nicole..

The wall tiles of the toilet is quite pretty too, and the extremely huge mirror though.. XD

Going back to the restaurant. But before that, I took numerous photos outside of the restaurant. XD

The hotel lobby..

A small room for the people to rest/chi-chat..

Lift to the hotel rooms(?)

They even have computers to facilitate them.. Woww :OO

Directories(?)

Back inside the restaurant, time to take pictures of the buffet. Let's goooo~~

HAHAHA sorry don't mind me.. Our "Convex lens" of the buffet food pot(?) XD

Ooopss... Got Nicole's reflection. XD

Omg how did they even carved such an outstanding design on a watermelon? It's amazing *.*

Saw a cracked egg?

After finishing our lunch we assembled outside the restaurant...

HAHAHA Nicole and I sat on the chairs to wait.. XD

Luckily we went into the bus early, it started to drizzle afterwards.

Off to our next destination for the day! ^^

We arrived at the Reunification Palaceee.. It's extremely beautiful (!!)

Going inside the reunification palace~~

Saw the picture of Ho Chi Minh? (:

I guess this is the map of Vietnam...?

Yeahh.. I was busy taking pictures.. XD

Tessaaaa so pretty *.*

After taking pictures around the Reunification Palace, I headed to the souvenirs shop to buy gifts for my friends and family~~ (:

All the gifts there are so cute to give someone.. ><

There were 2 souvenirs shops but both of them are quite similar.. So I didn't take many pictures of the other store. Otherwise, I did not have time to take pictures of the other store. XD

After visiting the Reunification Palace, we arrived at the War Remnant Museum, where we learned more about the Vietnam War!

It started to drizzle again.. ><

We were drenched in the rain while running into the building. ><

*Well, not really drenched in rainwater lah, but we're kind of wet when running into the building.

Went to the toilet first. HAHAHA

Time for an adventure in the museum! :DD

Firstly, we went to the exhibition about the Agent Orange!

If you've no idea what Agent Orange is.. It's  basically a chemical that had affected the people in Vietnam. People who suffered from Agent Orange may be physically or mentally disabled. Some of the children at the orphanage suffered from Agent Orange, because their parents may have inherited the genes to their children.

If I'm not wrong, the Agent Orange is from the bomb(?) that the U.S had bombed in Vietnam. As the bomb had exploded, it produces lots of radiation right? I guess that's how the Agent Orange is formed. And that's how some of the people in Vietnam are affected by it!

Next we went to the exhibition where there are guns as well as rifles used during the Vietnam War by both the Vietnamese and the American soldiers.

I guess these are pictures of the time when the Vietnam War had ended(?). Or is it during the period of the Vietnam War?

*I've forgotten all about it.. Sorry ><

The outside of the museum~~

The aircrafts and bombs U.S and Vietnam had used during the war.

The uniform that the soldiers wore during the war.

I guess these are weapons used during the Vietnam War too..?

Other exhibitions we visited in the museum. However, I do not have any idea which exhibitions do this photos belong to. So... ):

When the rain had stopped (finally, weww), we headed outside to view the aircrafts used during the Vietnam War! It's humongous.. :OO

Nicole's very amazed of the aircraft. ^^

Say cheeseee, Nicole!! :DD

There are two flags on the rooftop. One of them is the normal Vietnam flag, which has a star on it. While the other is the communist flag~~

Went into the building again to buy souvenirs, hehehee...

While I was waiting to pay for my items, it started to pour heavy rain.. >< Then we had to run to the bus, totally soaked in the rain.

I still remembered the times when the three of us combine the number of coasters we have in order to get the free mini bag to put our coasters. HAHAHA yeahh.. We had to search frantically for the ideal coasters that we want quickly. ><  Well, and the payment for the items was very slow too, and WE WERE THE LAST ONE TO PAY THE ITEMS *cries* What's worst, the teachers also keep on rushing us to be quick ): Anyways, thanks for combing the coasters we threee have for me to attain the free mini bag. hehehehe (:

Heading to the airport, to fly back to Singapore ):

I guess, this is almost the end of the BIND blog. ):

Arrived at the Vietnam airport..

Queued up to check-in my luggage and got my air-plane ticket. Wewww

And guess what.. No window-seat again.. ;-;

I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO SIT AT THE WINDOW SEAT THIS TIME.. ): OMG CAN I PLEASE SIT THE WINDOW SEAT.. I'M DAMN DESPO FOR WINDOW SEAT OMG

As we arrived early at the airport, we walked around the airport to kill time~~

Then we decided to go Burger King to have a light snack.. Well, I was full so I didn't eat. XD

The view outside, where they allow passengers to board the planes!

Disclaimer: I didn't take this photo, and I've no idea who took this. ):

But here's a picture where everyone is having their meal~~

And I still have not finished my chewing gum that I bought 4 days ago...

Sheryl told me that there are book stores that sell cheap books. I didn't know which store she was referring from, but I came across this book store and decided to take a look! (:

I was too tempted to buy the books because it's romance genre, HAHAHA. I didn't expect the money that I have to blow up, like wow. In a blink of an eye, I've spend finish the rest of my money. ):

Rushed back to the gate area to assemble there. ^^

Outside view of the airport~~

The gate area was crowded with people because the other group who went to BIND were boarding the same plane as us! Moreover, there is also another school boarding the same plane as us. That's why it's extremely crowded.. ><

I'm in ROW 60!! :DDD

There's our plane, we're flying back to Singapore!

The last couple of pictures of the Vietnam airport..

ECONOMY CLASS! YAY SINGAPORE AIRLINES~~

The pile of newspapers though.. XD

The plane is extremely big.. :OO

My air-plane seat partner actually took my phone to take pictures of me. Guess what I did? I snatched it back and this happened.. HAHAHAHA

*There's actually more spams lah, but very unglam, so I deleted XD

My air-plane food arrived first hehehehehehe :3

Very appetizing(!!)

Vegetarian meal.. Hmmm

Desert(?), pudding(?)

They offed the lights and played soft music.. So here's the "light" from the remote controller for my mini television. XD

Guess what I listened throughout the flight? Taylor Swift's 1989 and others mmhmm.. I didn't watched any movies because I was extremely tired..

--------

The flight back to Singapore was simple yet fun. I've to thank everyone who helped me to finish the bottle of gum. XD. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! ^^

Thank you for being suuch a helpful person by passing me my phone when I wanted to take a picture of my airplane meal. (Yes, I've to take every meal I took HAHAHA).

Thank you for looking through my phone about my daily "reflections" for the past 5 days to check my mistakes and telling me what I missed out for my reflections (Didn't know you will remember bits and pieces of the trip HAHAHAA)

Such an amazing moment.. showing me what "awesome" movie you're watching on your screen (what movie is that even.. zzzz) and checking out what songs I'm listening. HAHAHA SO BUSYBODY.. XD

Thank you for being my guide on the plane. To be honest, I'm pretty embarrassed that you've to help/teach me how to put back the remote controller as well as pulling out the table for my meal. XD (YES I'M REALLY THAT NOOB)

*I think I'll be more lost if no one is there to help me HAHAHA. I don't even want to imagine myself trying to put back the remote controller and pulling out the table ._.

------

And..

Welcome back to Singapore~~

Thanks for blocking the buildings that I wanted to take a picture of.. ._.

Heading to collect our luggage..

Well, my luggage was the last few to arrive. I was panicking like mad I swear. I thought it was lost or something. Yeah, I overthink too much HAHAHA

Oh ya, must thank my friends staying with me to wait for my luggage, even though theirs had already arrived. (The first few somemore.. Sighh. Do they hate my luggage that much ;-;) And I've to thank them for calming me down and assuring that my luggage will arrive. (:

*True friends I have in life, really grateful and thankful for that!* ^^

P.S: I'm sorry for running away after I saw my parents HAHAHAHA.. I'm sorry I ditched(?) you guys afterwards HAHAHA OOPSIE HEEHEHHE :3

*What a bad friend I am, sigh >_<

My parents went to fetch me from the airport <3

Now heading to the carpark!! I've so much to talk about to my parents (!!)

Last picture of the Singapore Airport~ :(:

Gifts I had bought in Vietnam

Coconut sweets - Blue: Original, Yellow: Durian

Friendship bands for my seniors, you should know who you are hehehe :3

And a flower design paper card for... Mmmhmmm <3

Another card that I kept to myself (:(:

This really reminds me of Vietnam.. The livelihood in Vietnam~~

Panda design.. For.. Well, who else is a panda-lover? (:

Vietnam Chocolateee - Milk Chocolate <3

Vietnam Chocolateeee - Almond Flavour

How the Almond Flavoured Chocolate looked like...

Vietnam Chocolateeee- Coffee Flavour~~

The packaging of the box is really cool (!!)

Picture with my sis on the plane~~

HAHAHA I remembered that I hit my airplane seat partner for blocking me.

*Omg, sorry not sorry. XD

BIND in Cambodia

Pictures at Cambodia~~

Rhonda sent it to meeee

HAHAHAA ZI HEAN HAHAHA

-----

In conclusion of the trip, I would say that it is an extremely insightful. I've learned an array of things in Vietnam and gained a great amount of knowledge about this country. In addition, I've also experienced things that I do not get to experience in Singapore. For instance, rice-planting as well as crawling through a tunnel! The environment there is somewhat different too, their mode of transportation is usually motorbikes and their traffic light is quite different from those in Singapore.

Let me be honest with you guys, I actualy didn't want to go for the BIND trip because I thought it's something boring and mundane. Well, the trip to Vietnam has definitely proved me wrong, it was extremely exciting and fun!!

I've to thank my friends (Nicole, Tessa Loh, Sheryl, Mei Shan, Belinda)  for making this trip even better and memorable for me. Without you guys, I think the trip to Vietnam would not be as fun as I've experienced. You guys have definitely made the trip even more fun and exciting for me. The BIND trip is far better than I've expected to be. ^^

Last but not least, I've to definitely thank the teachers who accompanied us to Vietnam and taking care of us throughout the whole trip. Thank you for organizing this trip and including fun and engaging activities for us! I'm really delighted to be in the Vietnam 1 Group! (:

So I guess this is the end of the BIND trip to Vietnam? I really wished I can travel with my friends to different countries in the future to experience something different, something more thrilling! Do not be afraid to travel around the world, it's better to do something that you've always wanted than to regret for not doing it right? (Well, you should get what I mean. XD)

I can't stop repeating that the BIND trip is extremely fun.. ;-; As I edited those 5 parts of the trip, events of the trip started to flashback in my head. Then, I'll start to miss those times there. While editing this last part of the blog, I really can't bear to accept the fact that the trip there is over. I know, it has already been 6 months(?) since we came back from Vietnam, I still think back those moments I had there.. Really, the experience there still edged in my head, deeply..

Okay, I think I should really stop typing HAHAHA.. I REALLY MISS THE TRIP TO VIEM.. ;-;
I think I really need help with this situation right now.. XD

That's all for this BIND trip, take care~

~Geraldine (:
