I've two parts of the trip there!! ^^
PART 2: http://geraldineyan.blogspot.sg/2015/06/kukup-malaysia-part-2-description-some.html
In my opinion, I feel that it is an extremely memorable and special trip there because I stayed overnight and managed to see things that cannot be seen in Singapore.
I went there with my parents and my maternal's family. We travelled there by bus, which took around 6 hours (?) to reach there. Well, to keep myself occupied.. Read, Sleep, Eat. XD
P.S: Let me warn you guys that this blog post is extremely long. You might want to read it part by part each day so that you won't be pissed off about my long blog (I've warned you..)
Photos taken on the way from Singapore to our destination.
Going to Jurong to fetch a group of travellers who are going to the same destination as us!
What I occupy myself with |
Reaching the Singapore Customs and Malaysia Customs respectively. However, there is still hours before reaching our destination. ):
Sorry my fashion sense really cmi. Always toilet selfie (: |
Back to the bus~
Welcome to Johor, Malaysia! (:
Eat and read! |
Oh oh oh, there is a construction of a small garden I think (judging from the plants inserted in the area). To be honest, I'm excited how it will look like if I get the chance to go to Malaysia again!!
Rows of houses with similar designs
Reached Kukup, Malaysia
Walking to the resort.. Some shops that we walked past.
The entrance towards our resort ^^
I am amazed by the number of photos I took JUST the journey to Malaysia. :O
Okay okay, back to the topic..
After the long hours in the bus, we finally reached our destination. When I saw the front building of the hotel, it gave me the impression that the hotel rooms will be quite luxurious. And I wasn't wrong!
Photos going to our hotel. (Sorry, I know spamming photos are lame.)
So this is the hotel we stayed for 2 days and 1 night.
Checking in our hotel rooms. THEY HAVE WIFI. YAY!! The first time when I saw that notice, *immediately ons the wifi icon and types in the password*. However, it can be quite lag sometimes because there are other people, who are also staying there, using the same wifi.
Heading up to our hotel rooms~~ I was anticipating what our hotel rooms would look like!
Look at our hotel room, so spacious and the wall.. SO COOL!! However, we got the room that had dark-coloured walls which made our room so... dull and dark. But you know, this room was much more brighter with my parents accompanying me <3 Is that too mushy? HAHAHA
How the hotel room looks like, featuring the bedroom and toilet. Simple and nice!
3 people staying in one room. Quite spacious! ^^
The facilities the hotel has. I don't mind staying in this hotel for the second chance if we get the chance to go there again. But sadly, I doubt I have the time to go for a holiday again until I finish my O's.
Just in love with the sky blue colour of the walls. <3
This resort also has a mini "coffee shop" where they provide breakfast and dinner, more of the buffet type. XD
The outside view of the resort. So breath-taking~~
Pano of the karoke room (KTV in short)
Another room for karoke |
After we checked in our hotels, it was already noon, so we headed for lunch. This is where we had our lunch. Quite a sumptuous meal we had on our first day at Kukup, Malaysia.
Yes yes, photos of food are coming.
P,S: The look of the dish may not be appetizing to you, but it's really quite delectable!
Pictures on the way there..
Where we ate our lunch (: |
Something that may disturb you a bit. I'm sorry ^^"
We went to the restaurant that we usually eat at with my parent's friends. Sadly, the blog about this restaurant won't be on this blog yet.. (Too busy to manage so many blog posts)
Sadly, when I specially went to visit the parrot, it was sleeping. It usually doesn't sleep at this hour. Hmmm... |:
You know, walking around is like exercising and also, digesting your food properly (Bio students, please correct me if I'm wrong. Bio is not my forte XD)
It's surprising that the weather isn't scoring hot even though it was around 1pm. The environment is really conducive and it's really windy. What astonished me is that it's really quiet and peaceful where there's no cars driving past us (well, a few motorcycles only)
Had a really pleasant afternoon walk with my parents. Feeling distressed and refreshed.
Got ice-cream at such a hot day. But it's really refreshing and delicious. Hahahahaha XD
Awkward posing. HAHAHA XD |
I recommend you to go there to experience the nature. However, you have to take a boat from the restaurant I visited the parrot. (If I'm not wrong)
Don't mind my amazed face. XD |
It's windy alright. (: |
Leaving the National Park ):
After the visit to Pulau Kukup Johor National Park,we went to a place where the people living there have fishes. (like Kelong) Well, they have dogs too. The two dogs seem to got attracted to the cat that they kept following the cat everywhere. While me (the paparazzi) follows them to take interesting photos of them. :D
Here's the pictures will tell you how the storyline goes. I have many videos of that, but it takes quite a long time to upload it. Moreover, even if I upload it onto the blog, there won't be a full video of it. ):
White dog walks past. |
This happened. |
Basically, the two dogs keep on following the cat everywhere. I think the cat got so pissed off that it hid between the rice packs.. Well, the smaller-sized dog managed to fit in between the rice packs, while the bigger-sized one stared to tear the rice packs. XD Well, it just goes on and on, endlessly.
Wow.. I can't believe I still remembered this incident so vividly.. I don't understand why I can't remember all my facts of my Science, History and my other subjects for such a long time.. ):
While walking back to the hotel, we went to SGT Food to order biscuits (you see that round thing on the banner? yeah that one) My mum told me it's "ma ti su", I checked google it's correct. Their "ma ti su" is really delicious and I got addicted eating that. Recommend you to try and eat that!
We decided to have a refreshing drink, recommend you guys to head to that shop to try their drinks. It's just.. no words can describe how nice the drinks are. XD
Too many recommendations in this blog post ^^"
The drink store. IT'S AWESOMEE (!!!!!)
Well, my parents decided to follow my uncle to take a look at another resort that is quite a distance away from our resort that we stayed, which means I can't go back to the hotel to rest T.T Whhyyy...
But at least there's a lot of photos I can take while walking to the other resort. Tehehehe :D
The other resort that I was talking about~
Going back to the resort we're staying in. (Finally, woohoo!)
Reached back the hotel! ^^
When we were going back to our hotel room, we walked pass the karoke room and saw my family members~
We decided to go in and have a rest, since there's aircon ^^
Tea-break~
After a nice, hot bath.. Unglam pictures of myself as usual hmmmm...
And dad hadn't bathe yet. |
Dinner time!
Sorry but I think I had accidentally deleted the photos that we took during dinner. But just to let you know that the food there is extremely delicious and delectable.
There's always a disadvantage of posting events that happened like months ago.. You tend to forget what happened.. And YES, I had forgotten what dishes we had eaten. )':
I guess my memory has worsened over the holidays. Sighh..
But I know there's sweet potato, prawns, stingray, otak, fish, vegetables, etc.
People are flying their Sky Lanterns too. This is usually done before Chinese New Year. People usually write down well-wishes on the paper lantern. Then light up the wax to allow the lantern to "fly" up the sky~
P.S: My knowledge of this Sky Lantern is very little, so please please do correct me if I'm wrong. (:
My family members went to try out as well. Even though there were a few failures where the sky lantern did not "fly" to the sky and dropped into the ocean (or river, basically water), we managed have successful attempts too.
The sky lantern looked so tiny in the night sky~~
My parents lighting up the wax to put up our sky lantern. And guess what, it "fly" up the sky. We were so delighted about that.
P.S: I know you guys are annoyed of me using simple word like "fly" to describe that, I also have the same feeling about it. But because of my small range of vocublary words, I had no choice you know. >.<
I would like to end this blog post with a photo with my family members (my parents!)
Yes yes, I know. We are the yellow shirt family~ XD (It's by coincidence okay..)
To be honest, travelling with my parents was a fun and exciting experience. Not only I get to expose with new surroundings in Malaysia, I also get more bonded with my parents (Even though we're like very very very close XD)
Look forward to my second part of the journey to Kukup, Malaysia. It will probably be a shorter one because it is just the events that happened on the second day where we also head back to Singapore. Quite a dry blog post but there's FOOD! Yes, we went to the restaurant to have appetizing food. Shall not tempt you with anymore information. HAHAHAA >:)
Take care~
~Geraldine (:
