Part 7: http://geraldineyan.blogspot.sg/2016/11/my-braces-journey-part-7.html
Let's start alright? (:
5th month...
As you can see, the teeth gap at the left hand side is already closed up, but it is still slanted.
The below right corner where I have a crooked teeth is becoming straight! I'm really happy happy!
COLOUR: DARK BLUE
What I realised when I get dark coloured braces is that it makes your teeth whiter! Woww.. But I prefer light coloured braces because when you take photos, it's not really that obvious. I mean, dark coloured braces makes your teeth whiter, however, when you take photos, I realised that my teeth has some dark stuff on it. But if you're someone who doesn't mind having photos with dark coloured braces, go ahead and get them! Make your teeth look even whiter! XD It's your decision making this kind of choices. Wow, my habit is coming back.. Writing too much again.. T.T
As you can see from the picture, the dentist gave me the power chain for my upper teeth. The left hand side has a gap again but it's straighter now. Ermm.. for my crooked teeth at my lower left, it's not really an obvious change. XD
COLOUR: PINK
I'm not sure why did I choose pink again.. I didn't dare to try other colours like Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, White, Grey and Black...? Any colours that you recommend? I have no idea what colour to choose XD
It's always Pink... Or Blue... Yeah.. Routine XD
7TH MONTH
I can't really see the changes. But I think the gap at the upper left is closed again! The dentist decided to adjust the left part of my upper teeth, maybe because it's kind of not straight..?
COLOUR: NEUTRAL(?) BLUE (Dark than light blue, lighter than dark blue)
8TH MONTH
This month is one of the best picture of my teeth ever! Even the dentist told me that my teeth is doing very well. The two front teeth are already straightened. I have forgotten to tell you that in the previous months, my front teeth is kind of slanted, if you didn't notice. The teeth gap at the left hand corner is getting closer and straighter. And the crooked teeth is going to be straight soon, probably 3-5 more months,..? I have no idea.. XD
Colour: LIGHT BLUE (Yes yes, I know I've tried light blue before. But LOOK AT THAT POWER CHAIN, IT'S SO... BRIGHT X.X)
So this is my 4 months progress for the 5th-8th month. Around 2 years, I'll be able to take off my braces. Yay! I'm really looking forward in seeing the progress in 4 more months! I'm really excited. I guess you guys have to wait for another 4 more months then! Hahaha, do look forward to other blogs since it's the holidays already!
See you guys in my next blog!
Take care~
Geraldine (:
I love seeing how far your braces journey has progressed, Geraldine! I can only imagine the frustrations you felt when your teeth weren’t behaving as expected at first. Good thing you have a reliable dentist who did well in adjusting your braces. You still have a long way to go, so hang in there! Keep us posted!

Hi Geraldine, for every month you visit the dental for braces review, did you book your appointment on weekends or weekdays. As I am working currently, i do not wish to waste my leave every month. If possible do they allow to book appointment on weekends?
ReplyDeleteAlso, did you pay by installment?
Nice straight teeth by the way!! I'm so happy for you, can't wait for mine to be like yours one day.
Hi, Geraldine! Wow, you were able to document the 5th to the 8th month of having braces. Your blog post is really helpful to people who might want to take the plunge and go for braces. Keep us posted! Good day!
