Hello everyone, so after 6 months of break (well I was working and hanging out my friends during that period too), I'm finally back in school and yeah, back in action! ^^ Well, it was time to get the momentum of studying back after 4-6 months of not using my brain cells. Okay, actually I guess I kinda used my brain cells because I need to do some calculation for some accounting work and also remember things that required some memory work. 😂
ANYWAYS, 6 months really past in a blink of an eye and woop, school finally started. Honestly, I wasn't prepared for the next stage of my education journey because well, I was afraid that I won't be able to make new friends because I'm an introvert-freak (YES I KNOW SOME OF YOU ARE COUGHING AT THIS BECAUSE YOU GUYS ASSUME I'M AN EXTROVERT BUT NO I'M NOT). Okay, back in January last year, I was contemplating which pathway I should go but end up I decided to stick to the pathway I chose for myself even before O's started. And yup, here I am right now, in a polytechnic, pursuing the course I've always dreamed of getting in.
Well, to be honest, poly life was really different from the primary or secondary school life. You have the freedom to attend lectures if you want to (but me being me, of course i attend every lecture lah HAHAHA). I must say the environment really spurred me to work hard in everything I do, yup, it's that competitive and scary, but I guess that's how it is. Of course, poly life is quite stress with projects and tests and exams that you have to do your best in because all of them are counted into your grades, aka GPA. There are definitely hard and tough times, but I'm glad I made it through!! 😁

//BAOC : To start off poly life, my school organised an orientation camp for all freshies who are from the business courses, 2 weeks before the actual semester started. Let me be frank okay, this camp was literally the super lit and fun, like 😭
DAY 1
Well, the first day of BAOC was the most awkward day ever because it was the period when we try to make new friends from our sub-tribe and yeah, no words can describe how awkward we were with one another. 😂 But after a while, I made new friends and really, they're really open and approachable and friendly!! Moreover, our SCs were extremely friendly.
Oh I forgot to mention how hyper all the SCs from all the 8 tribes were. We were welcomed by the cheers and shouts by the SCs and the atmosphere there was seriously WOW. The most hyped orientation camp ever!! 🙌 We had bonding games such as getting to know one another names and after that, we had lunch!!

We had our dinner at Blk 22, The Food Club. Well, I must say this canteen has a variety of food cuisines and here's the special thing, THEY WRITE THE CALORIES INTAKE FOR EACH MEAL. HAHAHAHA YES GUYS TYPICAL GERRY LIKES THIS KIND OF STUFF. Healthy diet healthy me. Okay what nonsense. 😂

I must day 2 was the most fun and engaging day ever!! Well, day 2 is Sports Day and we got the chance to play competitve games with other tribes.

So that marks the end of the first year and I must say these 2 semesters were really stressful at times, with hell weeks, aka a week filled with tests and presentations, but I'm glad we pulled through it and made it!!
I know the second year is gonna be more tough and tedious, and that I need to be mentally prepared to face it. The work load will definitely be more and more projects and tests will come into our way, but I know through perseverance and endurance we can do it. Well, school is starting in less than 2 days and it's time to face reality again and get the drive to study again after about 2 months of holiday vacation. LET'S DO IT!! 💪
This may be the last blog post I'll be updating for the moment because I can predict that I'll be busy with my school work HAHAHA. Anyways, persevere and never give up alright!
